Green Aventurine: It’s uses and benefits

Green Aventurine is a green crystal that ranges from translucent to opaque. Green Aventurine has a green shade that varies from pale to deep, dark green. It gets its green shade from Fuchsite inclusions. Mica inclusions give Green Aventurine a sparkly, shimmery appearance with a glassy lustre. Though it also forms in blue, red to reddish-brown, dusty purple, orange or peach, yellow, and silver gray.

Its name is derived from the Italian a Ventura or all’avventura, meaning “by chance,” and refers to the Italian glass from the 1700s, produced when a worker accidentally dropped metal filings into a vat of melting glass. Once cooled, the result was pleasing with its randomly spaced iridescent sparkles, and it was used to make jewellery and other items. The name Aventurine was later given to the natural stone which looked like the industrial product.

Green Aventurine is also known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” thought to be the luckiest of all crystals, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth, or for increasing favour in competitions or games of chance. Its winning energy makes it a great ally for boosting one’s chances in any situation – a first date, tax audit, even landing a promotion. One needs only to be near it, to derive its benefits.

This beautiful stone, however, is not merely an attractor of luck, but one that aligns conditions so “opportunity” is inevitable. Green Aventurine releases old patterns, habits and disappointments so new growth can take place. It brings optimism and a zest for life, allowing one to move forward with confidence and to embrace change. It enhances one’s creativity and motivation and encourages perseverance in manoeuvring life’s obstacles. It also reinforces one’s decisiveness and amplifies leadership qualities, injecting a sense of humour and openness to the ideas of others.

Aventurine is also referred to as Adventurine, Avanturine, Aventurine Quartz, and Indian Jade. It is used not only in various forms for metaphysical purposes, but in jewellery, vases, bowls and figurines, as well as a number of applications such as landscaping stone, building stone, aquaria, and monuments.

1.1.  Uses and Purpose

Green Aventurine carries a strong connection to Earth and the Divine kingdom, providing a better understanding and appreciation of nature and its soothing vibrations upon the mind and body. It is an excellent stone for gridding houses or gardens against geopathic stress.

Wearing Aventurine also absorbs electromagnetic smog and guards against environmental pollution. Taped to a cell phone, it protects against its emanations.

Green Aventurine energetically stimulates the physical growth of premature infants, young children and teenagers. It increases overall vitality and enhances the intellectual development of children struggling with schoolwork and destructive hyperactivity. It assists adults with written work, typing and computer skills, and is beneficial to all in overcoming clumsiness.

Aventurine may be made into an elixir to drink or used in ablutions by soaking a stone fragment in demineralized water overnight (we recommend the indirect method). It is highly beneficial for fighting eczema, rosacea, juvenile acne, and other skin problems.

Aventurine is ideal for soothing quick-tempers or brutal temperaments and can greatly diminish the effects of domestic strife between spouses.

1.3.  Pain Relief with Dark Green Aventurine

There are many stories from people who describe receiving incredible pain relief while working with Dark Green Aventurine. On its own, the gem is drawn to work on your weakest organ. However, with a little effort, we can harness its wave-like energy to massage out pain from virtually any part of the body.

Here are two ways you can do this:

  • Direct its energy with Lavender: When you wish to soothe an extremity or other localized area, you can wear Dark Green Aventurine around your neck and place a Lavender necklace on the painful area. The Lavender aligns and opens the area to more life force and directs the Aventurine’s energy there.
  • Use a helping hand: If you don’t have a Lavender necklace, you can cup your hand over the Aventurine while placing it on a painful area. This will awaken a unique property of Dark Green Aventurine that causes it to stream waves of its soothing energy deep into the area.
